Researcher Mr. Bin Habtoor receives a Master in Information Security from Malaysia

Researcher Mr. Saleh Abdulaziz bin Habtoor received a Master's degree in Information Security from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

 

The researcher discussed his master's thesis entitled “Blockchain-based electronic health record system’’ to complete the requirements for obtaining the master's degree.

 

Bin Habtoor pointed out that his research focuses on the use of blockchain technology in the health sector.


In his thesis, the researcher studied programming a safe system for health sectors using smart contracts, which is a code that is written in "blockchain".

 

He confirmed that the main objective of the project is to preserve the privacy of patients' data while keeping them from unauthorized change.

 

For her part, the supervisor of the thesis, Prof. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain, said that the points discussed in the research are as follows:


1. Cancel the "Username and Password" used in normal applications and use instead Cryptography or Public Key Cryptography to identify the user and verify his identity.


2. The mechanism of payment of treatment costs for patients by the Crypto Currency.


3. Give different powers for each user of the program in the "Blockchain" while

Mr. Saleh bin Habtoor is one of the scholarship students of Hadhramaut Foundation to the Kingdom of Malaysia to study the Master in Information Security.
